Hey everyone!

I just wanted to say a quick thank-you to everyone who came out to the get-together on April 29. We had a nice group, and for the first time we had a bass clarinet! Thanks, Kris Bachmann, for hanging out with us!

So, to the task at hand… my move is official. It is looking like mid-June, though a lot will depend on the logistics of finding a house and moving stuff ‘n’ things. I only yesterday had an offer on my house, so things are starting to move in the right direction.

With that said, it’s my dearest hope that this group will continue. There’s very little behind-the-scenes work that I’ve done, other than pick dates and send out invitations. And even though I’ll be away, I very much want to donate this web site and any time needed maintaining it. I’m glad and happy to continue working on this project.

If anyone is interested in continuing the work of scheduling meetups and getting the word out, please reply to this email. This could easily be multiple people, by the way. 😊

As I mentioned before, my family and I have lots of ties here and plan to visit. This group is something special, and I truly believe the music—and our sense of community—can and should keep thriving.

Thank you so much for your interest and involvement. I’m so unbelievably grateful for each of you.
